I had a rather strange phone call from a woman claiming to be with Calls Unlimited, linked to Openreach. She was asking me to provide a list of my most dialled numbers to supposedly reduce my charges. When I pressed her for more information about herself and her company, she abruptly decided to cut the conversation short and hung up! If she were legitimate, surely her firm could access my account details directly to see which numbers I frequently contact? It felt all very fishy to me, and frankly, her lack of professionalism suggested she might have been more interested in personal grooming than actually helping me!

I received a call from a lady claiming to be with Openreach, and she was touting some supposedly free, unlimited calling plan. She began prying into my billing details, which I flatly refused to disclose. When I pressed her for specifics about her company and what she actually represented, she insisted that Openreach had severed ties with BT and was now an entirely independent entity. I didn’t back down, and her patience wore thin; she abruptly mentioned that there were others eager to snap up this 'offer' before disconnecting. Just remember, if someone comes across as overbearing and pushy, don't let them intimidate you into spilling any information you're not comfortable sharing with a complete stranger. Stand your ground, ask the tough questions, and don’t hesitate to request written confirmation through the post if you remain doubtful. More often than not, they might end up hanging up on you instead!

I just received a rather peculiar phone call from a chap asserting he could arrange complimentary calls on my BT landline. When I pressed him for the name of his business, he mentioned something about Call Unlimited in conjunction with Openreach. His speech was rapid-fire, bombarding me with a myriad of questions about my calling plan. I continued to inquire why a company would offer me free calls without expecting something in return, but he insisted it was all complimentary and linked to Openreach. He was incredibly insistent, and eventually, his temper frayed, leading him to hang up on me. Quite the triumph, really! It’s much more enjoyable to toy with them than simply ending the call.
