Got a call from a woman claiming to be from Openreach's Calls Unlimited, asking for my top dialled numbers so they could supposedly reduce my rates. When I asked for her details, she abruptly said she’d get back to me another time and then just hung up! If she was legit, surely the company would already have access to my call history through my account? It all felt fishy, like she was maybe distracted or doing something else, given how unprofessional she sounded. Definitely didn't sit right with me.

I had a call from a woman claiming she worked for Openreach and was offering unlimited free calls. She started asking me all kinds of questions about how much I pay on my phone bills, which I didn’t answer. When I asked her to confirm which company she was actually with and what she was representing, she insisted that Openreach is independent from BT now. I kept questioning her, and she got annoyed, saying others were keen to take the offer and then just hung up. If someone sounds pushy or aggressive, don’t feel pressured to give out info you’re not comfy with. Be confident, ask lots of questions. If they seem legit but you’re still unsure, tell them to send details by post. Odds are, they’ll end up hanging up first.

So, just got a call from some bloke saying he was gonna set up free calls on my BT line. When I asked what company he was with, he said Call Unlimited and mentioned Openreach. He rattled through loads of questions about my call plan super quick. I kept asking why they'd do that for free without any benefit, and he just kept saying it was free and linked to Openreach. The guy was really pushy and, at the end, he lost his cool and hung up on me. Honestly, it’s hilarious messing with these people rather than just ending the call straight away.
