Another scam from a shady bank claiming to offer refunds, without revealing their true identity. TPS (Telephone Preference Service) is useless in tackling these types of scams. The ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) might be an option, but it's doubtful they would take significant action. Even if the scammers are shut down, they would likely find it more profitable to pay the fine and start afresh with a new number. My call-blocker needs another number to block next time. Perhaps they have a whole arsenal of numbers to try. It's frustrating that websites like this exist for venting complaints, but it would be more beneficial if there were verified lists available to help stop these calls nationwide.

Why bother having a Telephone Preference Service (TPS) when it seems they are ineffective, just like Offcom because they are involved with various organizations? If my number is registered, that should be the end of it. But no, they continue to call and no one seems to care.

I received a phone call today around noon. It was an automated male voice claiming that I could reclaim fees paid on my bank account. They asked me to press either 3 to claim or 5 if I had already claimed (I can't recall exactly which one). Immediately, I hung up the phone. I'm using a private line and I'm registered with the TPS, so it's frustrating that someone in authority hasn't put a stop to these bothersome calls and scams. These scammers should be heavily fined and stopped altogether. Although I am considered "elderly," I am wise enough not to follow their instructions. However, my heart goes out to those who are older than me, especially those in poor health, who may end up falling victim to these scammers. It's high time we put an end to this nonsense. These types of calls have been allowed to continue for far too long.

Just got a call from someone speaking with a Cardiff accent. I wasn’t sure who it was at first, but turns out it was a telemarketer trying to sell me something I didn’t need. I wasn’t having any of it, told ’em I wasn’t interested and hung up pretty quick. Not the first time I’ve been called by these kinds of salespeople though!
