I recently received a call from someone who identified themselves as part of a company called Unlimited. They claimed to be from Burleigh House and provided the phone number 02393760038. However, when I pressed them for further information regarding their address, they abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I've just had one of those calls that seem to be all the rage lately-this company reaching out to arrange my complimentary calls or whatever. To top it off, she ended up just hanging up on me. The number that called was 0239 3760038. Quite the experience, I must say!

I received a call today from someone named Zachary, claiming to be from Openreach. He mentioned something about complimentary calls, similar to what others have reported before. I’ve shared all the information with BT, but to be perfectly honest, I don’t expect anything to come of it.

Earlier today, on the 20th of March around 10 am, I received a rather dodgy call from a woman purporting to represent Openreach. When I requested her name and a direct number to reach her, she was only willing to provide an 0845 number, which she promptly admitted would go unanswered. I pressed her with various questions, but she seemed to fabricate answers, even going so far as to claim that Openreach had cut ties with BT. Frustrated, she eventually hung up on me. What's truly disheartening, however, is the utter lack of information regarding scams on the Openreach website. There's no direct contact number or email for customers to reach out, not even a mention of how to contact Ofcom. It feels as though they’ve left us out in the cold without any support or guidance!

I received a rather aggressive phone call today from a woman claiming to represent Openreach, offering so-called "free calls." She insisted she would ring me again once I did a bit of online research about them. It's clearly a scam. Best to steer clear of such individuals; they're nothing but a nuisance. I've done absolutely nothing to warrant these calls. BT really should investigate this issue. I seem to get inundated with calls every single day, and the Telephone Preference Service isn't doing a thing to alleviate the situation.

What a dodgy call! Just had a chap named Lee ring me up, claiming he was from Openreach and wanted to discuss some free calls. He assured me he wasn’t going to talk about broadband, yet he started probing into how much I fork out monthly for my phone calls. Then he quickly switched gears and began questioning me about my broadband provider. I told him I’d check my most recent bill online for the call costs. He thanked me and promptly disconnected. How infuriating! Grrrr!

I’ve just received another call from this number, a mere week after the last time! It was a rather insistent woman on the line; she didn’t bother with any form of introduction and straight away said, “I’m calling to organise your unlimited calls.” Upon telling her I’d searched her number previously and discovered she wasn't associated with BT, she swiftly changed her tune and claimed to be from Openreach. I pointed out that Openreach handles infrastructure rather than actual calls, clearly indicating she was a scammer. She adamantly denied it, stating she wasn’t a cold caller, despite my mentioning I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service and considered ex-directory. In the end, I had no choice but to hang up!

I had a phone call from this number earlier today; the caller specifically mentioned my name. He claimed he was reaching out to help me with free call entitlements. When I inquired about the company he represented, he responded with "Calls Unlimited; we’re part of Openreach." However, I'm aware that Openreach operates as a wholesale provider and doesn't deal directly with customers; their services go to BT Retail, Plusnet, and other telephone and internet service suppliers.

Today, I received a call from this number. A chap on the line insisted that I needed to arrange my complimentary calls or something similar. He brought up Openreach during the conversation. I questioned him, pointing out that I already had free calling services in place, and asked how I could even be sure he was the real deal. He pressed for the name of my provider, but I didn’t trust that it was a legitimate call, so I hung up and decided to search for the number right here.

I received a call from a woman who had quite a pleasant voice, and she addressed me by name. Initially, I suspected it might be a sales call. However, she claimed she was reaching out as per our prior arrangement regarding assistance with setting up complimentary calls. Assuming my husband might have initiated such a request, I mentioned that he usually handles phone-related matters and proceeded to search for him around the house. Unfortunately, by the time I managed to hand him the phone, that discourteous individual, benefiting from my politeness, had already ended the call! Such a shameful and tacky sales tactic! This company deserves to be called out for their behaviour!

I’ve just experienced a rather peculiar phone call myself. The person on the other end refused outright to disclose their identity and insisted on chatting with the account holder, claiming they were unable to initiate the free call. Naturally, I wasn't about to reveal who I am until they were a bit more forthcoming. After a bit of back and forth, the caller rather sarcastically declared, “I’ll let you carry on with your little game, and you can keep footing the bill for your calls.” It was quite the amusing encounter, to say the least!

Not quite sure why some folks are making such a fuss,
I received a call from a pleasant chap, I believe he went by the name of Don?
He was refreshingly honest with me, explaining that italk operates as an independent provider, utilising the same infrastructure as Openreach, unlike Virgin which relies on cable.
I listened to what he had to say, and previously I was shelling out £89 a month for my phone service, but thanks to him, I've secured a rate of £58 for the next couple of years! Sure, a saving of £30 a month might not seem monumental, but for someone like me, a 77-year-old pensioner, it truly makes a significant impact on my budget. I’ve received all the documentation I was promised, and so far, I can’t find any faults. Whenever I had a query, I was connected to a customer service representative in the UK who sorted out my billing issue without a hitch. All in all, I’m quite pleased!

I received a call from this number earlier today. The chap on the other end cleverly presented himself as a representative from BT, claiming there was some sort of "issue" with my account plan. The offer he laid out was rather tempting, I must admit; however, when I requested that he provide full details in writing, he turned rather hostile and had the nerve to call me rude! It's crystal clear that the telecommunications sector is in dire need of a thorough overhaul, and BT ought to be a part of that conversation as well.

A chap rang my elderly mother from this number, claiming he had a more advantageous offer than her current deal with BT. He seemed to be quite clued up on her personal information and was rather pushy in trying to extract her bank details. When she declined, he appeared baffled and even suggested sharing his own bank details to prove he was on the level! His manner was quite rude and he simply wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. When she pressed him for his company name and contact information, he refused to oblige. Thankfully, my mother hung up the phone before anything was revealed. I've had a rather similar encounter, to be honest. A lady rang me up, using my name right off the bat, mentioning she was aware that we hadn’t yet set up our complimentary phone calls. It wasn’t until I pressed her for details that she finally revealed she was from Openreach. Upon questioning how she even acquired my number, her response was, "We own the phone lines, so we’ve got everyone’s details." When I expressed scepticism about Openreach handling our call plans, she countered, "Absolutely we do! Just take a glance at your bill; it clearly states BT Openreach at the top." Despite her persistence, I remained unconvinced, and she quickly added that it wasn’t any bother to her if we chose not to cut our bill down before hanging up. I must admit, I felt a twinge of worry over whether I'd erred in my judgement, but I’m so relieved I looked into it further!

I encountered a rather pushy and discourteous woman who not only knew my name but also launched into a rapid-fire spiel about free phone calls. When I inquired about the name of her company, she flatly refused to provide it, incessantly repeating that they 'function on the BT Open Reach network’. Upon probing further about the company's identity, she abruptly shouted, ‘well, don’t expect your free phone calls then’ and abruptly hung up. I received a call from this number today and encountered the same old routine as others have mentioned: “We’re affiliated with OpenReach.” They asked me about my monthly telephone bill. When I pointed out that he ought to have that information, he retorted, “Do you really think I keep track of everyone’s records?” Well, if you represent BT and are acting above board, then yes, you should! He proceeded to mention a “plan” with a company named ITAL that could supposedly save me money on calls. I wasn’t interested, and he became rather impertinent, prompting me to tell him to shove off before I hung up. Immediately after that, I opted to have my number removed from their calling list-I guess we’ll see if that actually does the trick!

Like many others have mentioned, my experience is quite similar. I haven’t yet taken advantage of my complimentary calls. Just to clarify - I’m not the one responsible for the bills; that would be the hearing-impaired person in question, who has no interest in entering into any contracts. When I inquired, her reply was simply ‘no contracts’. I suggested that she send the necessary information through the post, so the bill payer can review it at leisure. Yet here we are, a month down the line, and still no sign of any information. I can’t help but wonder why that is; perhaps it’s not the brilliant proposition it was claimed to be after all!

I received a rather curious call from this number earlier on, purporting to be from OpenReach. They claimed that I supposedly don’t have a complimentary calling plan. Now, I may not be a telecommunications specialist, but I’m fairly certain that OpenReach is in the business of maintaining the infrastructure rather than dealing with billing or the specifics of call plans-that's more BT's domain, if I’m not mistaken, and certainly not OpenReach’s remit. It’s worth noting, too, that if they had been affiliated with BT, they would have been aware that I’m subscribed to BT Unlimited Anytime Calls. Quite the dodgy call, if you ask me!

I received a call from this number, but they disconnected before I picked up. I'm grateful to everyone who's flagged this number, as it now allows me to add it to my CPR call blocker-something I highly recommend to anyone who's able to invest in one. Prices are dropping so if you're watching your wallet, it might be worth holding on a bit longer. I splashed out £50 on mine, but I've spotted models for as little as £24, and I dare say they might get even cheaper down the line. It’s been a lifesaver, and I’m now experiencing far fewer disturbances. I even made a cheeky little response for them on YouTube; you could always download the tune and send it their way!

Today, I received a rather unexpected phone call from someone who insisted that I hadn't activated my unlimited call plan. I promptly informed the lady that I was quite uninterested in her unsolicited pitch and that I had no intention of sharing my personal information with her. This seemed to set her off, as she began to raise her voice, claiming it wasn't a scam and that she hadn't requested any information besides whether or not I had my unlimited calls arranged. She went on about how this was a service offered to all customers with Openreach lines, and apparently, they check in every six months or so. In the end, she told me that if I wasn't keen on making any changes, she'd be happy to leave me on my current billing package-before abruptly hanging up on me!

Today, I received a call that didn’t even warrant a hello before I hung up after the first sentence of their sales spiel. Shortly after, my phone rang three more times, but to my annoyance, there was absolutely no one there - likely the irate caller I had cut off. It’s ludicrous how the Telephone Preference Service seems utterly ineffective; I’m bombarded with about two unsolicited calls a day, and I simply end the conversation without a second thought. As for those claiming this could be some sort of ‘scam’, let’s be clear: a scam, to me, implies a deceitful ploy. What I’m experiencing feels more like the antiquated annoyance of telesales, probably from some telecommunications company desperate to push their wares. How tiresome!

When I mentioned I couldn’t chat at that moment, they became exceedingly rude and said they were in control of my bill. Upon asking for their name, they flatly refused to share any details, insisting that they didn’t need to disclose anything about themselves, while somehow claiming they had access to my full name, address, and postcode! After I ended the call, the same individual rang me back a few minutes later just to argue, accusing me of being arrogant. Their manner was shockingly rude and aggressive. It's clear they haven't got a clue about proper customer service. I can't help but wonder who these folks are-surely this isn’t the conduct Openreach would expect from their team members.

Today, I received a call from a woman using this number who went on about setting me up with some sort of unlimited calling plan. I was quite taken aback and asked her for her identity and the purpose of her call. She dropped Openreach's name, which raised my suspicions. I firmly stated that I wouldn't have any discussion until BT reached out to me directly regarding any alterations to my contract with all the necessary particulars. She assured me she'd send some details via the postal service.

Today, my wife received a phone call from someone who claimed to be from BT. They inquired if she was the one responsible for the bills. When she confirmed that she was, they informed her they wished to facilitate the Friends and Family service, supposedly offering free calls. The caller asked if this service was already active, to which my wife pointed out that they ought to be aware of that if they were indeed representing BT. Then, they started blabbing about free calls during evenings and weekends. At this juncture, my wife requested a formal confirmation in writing, and abruptly, the caller terminated the call!

Just received the most peculiar phone call from this number! A chap on the other end was overly chipper, blurted out, "Can you believe who popped up on Sky Sports yesterday?" and then promptly hung up. I couldn’t trace the call initially since I don’t have caller ID, but a quick dial of 1471 revealed this number. How utterly bizarre! What on earth would possess someone to say that? I don’t even have a Sky subscription! Perhaps it was simply a case of misdialing? What a curious encounter! :)

I had a rather unpleasant exchange with a representative from a budget calling service when I declined to provide my bank account information during a phone conversation. Their reaction was quite aggressive, which left a rather sour taste in my mouth.

I've had enough of these incessant calls coming from x directory! They keep ringing me three or four times daily, and it's becoming unbearable. Honestly, how much more can one endure?

It's truly disgraceful how these individuals operate; they're nothing more than a bunch of shameless tricksters. They ought to be held accountable for their actions! If ever I happen to cross paths with them, I wouldn't hesitate to give them a piece of my mind-it's infuriating to think about what they get away with!

I've chatted with numerous folks around Northern Ireland, and it seems like only BT customers are getting these nuisance calls. A chap named Paul even confirmed that my details came from BT. However, BT is vehemently denying this and refusing to provide a new number. Given my current health challenges, it's quite frustrating to have people with such poor manners calling me four or five times a day.

They rang me before seven in the morning on a Saturday, which is absolutely ridiculous and highly inappropriate! Calls at such a time are simply unacceptable. It feels like we’re being bombarded with complaints, yet not nearly enough is being done to tackle it. This is precisely why the civil rights movement gained momentum, wouldn’t you agree? We can protest or, alternatively, we could all just hide away in our caves and avoid the issue altogether, eh?

I've been receiving endless calls from this number, so I finally caved and pressed 2. Miraculously, I got a return call from someone trying to sell me a package of free calls. I made it clear that the number they dialled belongs to a business. Now I'm left wondering if they’ll try their luck and ring again...

I find myself in a similar predicament with those calls. What I've taken to doing is, whenever I hear that automated spiel about "setting you up with complimentary calls," I simply press 2. When they eventually connect, I respond with, "Would you mind holding for a tick? Just a brief moment," and then I mute the call, leaving them hanging until they finally give up and disconnect. Quite the entertaining tactic, I must say!

I seem to get a call from this number around four times a week. It’s quite amusing really, as I’ve not once managed to find out who it is via the 1471 service. Instead, I opted to press 2 and was informed a callback would be arranged within a couple of days. True to their word, two days later, I received a rather curt call from a rather irritable woman insisting on speaking to the account holder. When I inquired about the purpose of the call, she claimed I had shown an interest in some free call service. I pretended to be intrigued and requested the name of the company before proceeding. With a hint of reluctance, she revealed it was a new service called Calls Unlimited, in association with BT. I promptly informed her that I wanted my number removed from their calling list as I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, but then she simply hung up on me! Despite my request, they continue to bombard me with calls! I’m absolutely fed up!

I received a call from someone claiming they could provide me with unlimited calls and internet for just £32, representing BT Openreach. When I probed them about their affiliation, they abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

We've been absolutely inundated with calls from "Calls Unlimited." It's become a real nuisance! They persistently bombard our number with their automated messages. Whenever you inquire about their identity, they either become rather aggressive, claim to represent BT Open Reach, or simply hang up without a word. Despite multiple promises from different callers that they would take our number off their list, the relentless redialling just won’t quit. Quite the frustrating situation, I must say!

I've encountered a similar situation myself. The call simply disconnected without warning. If anyone else has received a call from this number, do share your thoughts here; we might be able to compile some useful information on these gits.

Could someone enlighten me as to who might be behind this number? I picked up the call, but all I got was silence on the other end. Much appreciated!
