I’ve been inundated with calls from this number, and it’s rather annoying that they never bother to leave a voicemail if I miss the call. The one time I did answer, they addressed me by the wrong name, which raised my suspicions. When I asked them how they got my number, they wouldn’t give me a straight answer and just slammed the phone down. Seems quite suspect to me!

Like I said before, these jokers keep ringing me like it’s their job, several times every day. It’s honestly getting on my nerves and feels like they’re just ignoring my privacy completely. No way am I ever getting their paper now.

A while back, I told these jokers that I don’t bother buying a paper anymore. Then they asked if I followed the news on my TV or laptop. I said yes, thinking that would shut them up. How mistaken I was. They call me at least once daily, sometimes more. Even if 'The Times' was the only paper around and my TV and laptop had died, I still wouldn’t buy from them. After reading this, you might get why I’m so fed up. Sadly, these fools will just keep pestering like this.

I got a ring from this number, and it was a young bloke saying he was from The Times and Sunday Times, asking if he could chat to me. When he asked if I read any newspapers, I said no, and he said sorry and ended the call quite nicely. Later on, I found this forum and saw a post about blocking them: "By TheMeq 3 weeks ago report This number belongs to The Times and The Sunday Times. To opt out, ring 0845 286 6430, press 1 when prompted, then enter your phone number. They say it takes about 48 hours to process. Thanks Owner: The Times / Sunday Times" I used that right away, and within a couple of days no more calls. Seems like one of those sales calls. Still baffled how they got hold of my number though, since we’re ex-directory and I never give it out!
