I received a call claiming to be from the Daily Mail or possibly another major newspaper, and they had my entire name! Does anyone have a clue as to who these folks might be?

It seems like I get a call from this number nearly every single day, and I have absolutely no intention of returning any 0845 call. They did leave a voicemail, but it was just a load of background noise - no one actually spoke. Quite frustrating, to be honest, especially when I check my phone after work and see that "missed call" notification glaring at me!

23 November 2015 - I've had two calls from this number today, both roughly at half past three. They hang up as soon as my answering machine starts recording. Quite frustrating!

I received a call on my mobile at 8 o'clock this evening, but they didn't bother to leave a voicemail. I've since gone ahead and blocked the number.

I'm being bombarded by a relentless stream of nuisance calls!

Good grief, the calls from these folks just won’t relent! It’s as if once they’ve got hold of your digits, they won’t leave you alone. First, it’s the Times and the Sunday Times, and then they’re hounding me about all sorts of magazines. I've got a sneaking suspicion they've sold my number off to other companies. I’m seriously considering lodging a complaint about this relentless nuisance.

Aditus adheres rigorously to data protection regulations. They gather information through surveys conducted online or over the phone. If you've participated in a survey and indicated that you read a specific publication like The Times, then you may receive a call. This process follows the opt-in rules, which means it’s in line with the Telephone Preference Service. If you miss a call, don’t worry; they’re likely to try again. It’s advisable to pick up the phone and politely express your disinterest, requesting them to remove your details from their list. Aditus doesn’t wish to pester those who have no interest-they’re in the business of making sales! It's worth noting that your number might be on multiple lists, so by requesting suppression, you help ensure that Aditus won't regard your number as a viable lead from other sources.

This number seems to ring me twice daily, typically at about half ten in the morning and round half three in the afternoon. I've chosen not to pick up these calls, but my landline does indeed log their presence.

I received a notification on my phone indicating a text had come through. However, there was no actual message, yet the call history indicated that this particular number had reached out. I opted not to return the call.

I've been getting incessant calls from this bothersome number, and it's driving me up the wall!

They ring me incessantly but never bother to leave a voice message. All I get is a cacophony of background chatter, reminiscent of a bustling call centre.

I didn’t quite catch what the chap on the other end of this number was after, as he used my maiden name - a moniker I haven’t gone by in years - which immediately tipped me off that it wasn't related to anything I'd signed up for. He was civil enough and simply wished me farewell. However, I can't help but notice the chatter from others about this number being linked to The Times newspaper. A while back, I had a blokes ring me up attempting to peddle a subscription to The Times. It turns out he’d gotten my information from one of those ‘market research’ calls, where you speak to someone named ‘Debbie’ or 'Steven' who can hardly string a sentence together in proper English… obviously, they’d offloaded my details to The Times sales team.

I wasn't in when this call came through. They didn’t bother to leave a message on the answering machine, though. Cheers, Patsy.

I keep getting these pesky cold calls from folks trying to peddle magazine and newspaper subscriptions. It’s time to add yet another number to my ever-growing blocked contacts list!

I’ve been receiving calls from this number twice daily, typically around ten in the morning and again at six in the evening. Similar to many, my landline primarily serves as a means for internet access and emergencies, so I refrain from picking up and just consult the caller ID instead. This has been ongoing for about three weeks.

Received a call from this number on the 19th of March, 2014. The recorded voice introduced itself as Actus or Aditus, claiming to represent Times Newspapers. It prompted me to press 1 if I wished to have my number removed from their list. Naturally, I complied, but then it struck me that I might have unwittingly incurred a charge or something similar. My experience seems to differ greatly from what I've read others have encountered. Cheers, Jimm.

I keep receiving calls almost every day, typically between 11 in the morning and midday, although one time they rang me at 2 in the morning! I've only been able to answer once, but all I could hear was some chatter and background noise-nobody actually said anything to me. It’s puzzling since I believed my mobile number was only shared with trusted acquaintances.

I had a chap ring me from the aforementioned number, claiming to represent the Times or Daily Mail. When I inquired how he obtained my phone number, he stumbled over his words and suggested that I might have submitted my details for some sort of competition. It was abundantly clear he was just fabricating excuses on the spot. It’s utterly frustrating to deal with these nonsense calls.

This number keeps ringing me incessantly, yet whenever I pick up, it’s all silence on the other end. It’s beyond annoying! I can only imagine that if someone did finally decide to say something, it would just be a load of nonsense trying to sell me something I don’t want. What a bother!

This particular number keeps ringing me incessantly. Even though my phone manages to block it, it’s still rather vexing. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can put an end to this nuisance?

Should this be the case that the caller is indeed 'Aditus' representing The Times or the Sunday Times, it’s utterly unacceptable. This nuisance keeps ringing without leaving any voicemail. I’m planning to reach out to the Editors of both publications to demand an explanation for this. - lotuscat

I've been receiving constant phone calls from these individuals, and I can hear chatter in the background, yet no one ever actually speaks to me. Maybe Mr Cameron ought to step up and put an end to this nonsense.

This number has been incessantly ringing me throughout the day, at various odd hours. Each time, they’ve failed to leave a message. On a couple of occasions, when I answered, all I encountered was utter silence. Quite baffling, really!

Just to shed some light on my previous note, I dialled this number and was greeted by a pre-recorded message stating, 'Hello, this is Aditus, we’re calling on behalf of News International.' So, let me reiterate: should you be on the Telephone Preference Service list and receive a call from them, make sure to report it to TPS. There’s an easy form available on the TPS website where you can enter the number, the name, and details of the call. Wishing you the best of luck with it!

I've just received yet another call from this number, adding to a mountain of unwelcome pest calls - it’s becoming a right nuisance! I've been on the Telephone Preference Service for the better part of four years, yet it seems to make no difference at all. It's been almost two years since I last picked up the phone, and I'm really beginning to wonder when the government will finally step in and put a stop to these irritating calls once and for all. Many of them come from withheld numbers or that bizarre 1100000, or they’re about car and home insurance claims on behalf of Swinton - which is ironic since I’ve never taken out a mortgage in my life. It seems BT has the capability to block them, yet they want to charge for that service-why on earth should we have to pay to avoid harassment? Cheers, Maurean Reid

As a household where British Sign Language is the primary form of communication, we are unable to pick up calls on our landline. Our friends and family are well aware of this, so they don’t typically call us there. It's quite concerning when we see the same number popping up on our caller ID day in and day out; it leaves us anxious that someone who isn’t aware of our hearing situation might be trying to reach us urgently for some critical reason. The last instance was particularly troubling as it turned out to be a legitimate inquiry regarding a stool sample I had submitted in hospital, which unfortunately tested positive for salmonella. We are registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so I’d appreciate it if you could assist in blocking the number 08452865089. Thank you very much for your help!

I've registered my preferences, yet those pesky callers persist in ringing us at twenty past eight in the evening, leaving silence behind for us to ring back at our own cost - silent calls aren’t permitted, you know. I have no intention of lining the pockets of Murdoch or his ilk - I simply wish these nuisances would slink back under their grimy rocks and leave the rest of us in peace.

I picked up a call from this number, but it seemed the other party hung up immediately. Curious, I rang the number again only to be greeted by a recorded voice stating it was from a company named Atlas, reaching out on behalf of News International. The recording proceeded to list various options for opting out of future communications, though I chose not to follow any of them.
