It's been nothing but a constant irritation with these calls. Every time, the phone rings and then they just cut off without a word. It really has been quite vexing, especially for me as I have a disability and find it challenging to reach the phone at times.

We keep getting calls from this number, and usually, I just ignore them. But occasionally, they try to peddle us some boiler system or other rubbish. It's rather tiresome, to be honest!

Received a ring with absolutely no one on the other end. Seems like some dodgy company is conducting trials without proper staff to handle calls, probably trying to gauge if we're available before they actually start employing proper agents to reach out to us. Quite the cheek, if you ask me.

I’m signed up with the TPS, yet these annoying calls still come through and just drop the line when I pick up. Seriously, what’s the use of having TPS if these pests can still ring non stop?! It’s so frustrating!

Honestly, I reckon folks should try what I do - my phone’s pretty much always set to voicemail mode. I’ve told my mates about it and asked them to just say “are you there?” once the beep comes on. If I’m around, I’ll answer straight away. It stops all those scam calls driving me mad, but at the same time, proper people can still leave a message. Easy fix, really.

People usually hate these calls, but I actually know this woman who works as a caller, and she’s really lovely. She once told me about a time when some bloke was shouting all sorts at her, so she fired back with, “Would you rather I was just sitting at home on benefits?” After that, he suddenly got really sorry and realised he’d been out of line. At the end of the day, they’re just trying to make an honest living.

Honestly, I’d prefer folks staying home trying to claim benefits (and fingers crossed it becomes harder soon) than harassing elderly or sick people who find it tough just to answer the phone, only to be pestered with stuff they don’t want or need. If someone’s signed up to the TPS, it’s clear they don’t want marketing calls, no matter how polite the caller sounds.
