I indeed own a Sony TV, but they had my full name, address, and postcode, which was rather alarming. When I inquired about the model number of my television, they couldn't provide that detail, prompting me to think twice about their authenticity. It struck me as odd; if they truly were who they claimed, they’d surely have that nugget of information. I decided to hang up right then and there. To be honest, my warranty expired ages ago, and I wouldn’t entertain the idea of extending it in any case. What I find concerning is that they had knowledge of my ownership of a Sony TV, even though they lacked specifics about it. How on earth did they acquire that sort of information?

What's even more frustrating is that even after explicitly requesting to be removed from their call list, they claim they will do so but never actually follow through.
