I received a rather insistent call from First Utility, the company I use for my gas and electricity supply. They kept ringing me until I finally picked up. Their aim was to entice me into switching to a new tariff. Once I was on the line, things took a bit of a turn. They insisted on discussing their new deal because my current tariff was nearing its end. I thought it was best to hear them out, considering the circumstances. However, the representative was adamant about needing to verify my identity first, including a question about my address. I found this quite unreasonable-why must I share such personal details just to learn about a new tariff? In the end, they wouldn't proceed without that information and instead advised me that the details would be sent via email. - caller: First Utility
