Got a call about boiler insurance. The woman was very polite and had a proper English accent. I mentioned we already have a good deal and coverage. She was understanding and said thanks, which was quite pleasant. She was friendly, but we don’t really require the service. Put the number on the TPS list.

This company called "Comparison Crunch" rang me up trying to sell Boiler Insurance. When I asked for their company info so I could report them to the TPS, they just cut the call straight away.

Got a call from someone about gas boiler insurance but they never mentioned their company at first. I played along a bit pretending I wasn’t sure who my provider was, then it hit me - I don’t even have a gas boiler! When I asked where they were calling from, the woman said they were a comparison website linked with British Gas and other companies. Seemed pretty dodgy to me. I told them to take me off their call list, no more calls please!

Got a call from Jamie at Save Today about GAS BOILER cover. He claimed they were a comparison site. When I asked if they were a limited company, he said yes - even though the one he named shut down in 2012. Save Today UK actually only started in 2017. Asked if they were allowed to do "COLD CALLS" and he admitted to making unsolicited calls. Then the "supervisor" jumped in, throwing in some charming remarks like "YOUR DAD'S BOLLOCKS" every now and then before hanging up. Proper rude!

A woman called claiming British Gas had been charging too much for years and that the courts had forced them to give boiler and plumbing cover at a really cheap price now. She asked if I wanted to sign up. I thought it sounded fishy so asked if she was actually with British Gas - she admitted she wasn’t. Definitely a scam looking to get your bank info.

They started by asking for my last name then launched into a chat about boiler insurance, asking if I have any. I'm registered on TPS so I told them this and made it clear I don’t want sales calls. The woman said their system does check TPS and apologised for bothering me. She said she’d put through a request to have my number removed from their lists but couldn’t promise I won’t get called again.

Got a call about my boiler cover, supposedly just checking if I was paying too much. I told them I don’t have any policy. They asked why not. I said I don’t want one. Then they asked what I’d do if the boiler stopped working. I said I’d just get a new one. They pressed if it was only 2 years old. I told them mine’s older, and if it did break, I’d buy a new one anyway and it’d come with a warranty. Eventually I winded her up so much she just hung up on me.

This guy kept going on about some boiler cover nonsense, I just chuckled. He asked why I was laughing. Told him my boiler is still under warranty and I actually work as a heating engineer. No chance I was buying anything from him, so I just ended the call.
