For the past six weeks, we've been inundated with calls from Sky-often multiple times a day! More often than not, when they leave a message, it's just silence. Even when we do pick up, there's seldom anyone there. This incessant ringing has caused quite a bit of distress for our elderly grandmother, who doesn’t possess (nor does she wish to have) a contemporary phone with Caller ID, so she just isn’t able to tell or understand that she shouldn’t answer. The whole situation is baffling for her, particularly as she doesn’t even know what Sky is all about!

We've come to the conclusion that there's a bit of a scam going on with Sky. You get a call from these folks, and they don't utter a word before just hanging up. Once you ring 1471 to find out who it was and then call the number back, it seems that as soon as the line connects, you're hit with charges! It looks like Sky is pocketing a cut from BT based on the number of calls made to this particular number!

I'm absolutely sick to death of this number bombarding us with calls! We're already Sky customers and keep telling them that when we decide to add any services, we’ll reach out ourselves. The relentless calls feel like we might as well switch to Virgin or Freesat! It’s even more maddening that they choose to ring us late in the evening, right when our little one is usually asleep. A few times, they’ve even disturbed him, which is beyond frustrating!

It’s clear that this is a scam linked to Sky. We've raised our concerns with Sky, yet they're completely dismissing our claims.
