Now, I won't even notice when they’re trying to get through, so I'm not tempted to pick up unless it’s someone I recognise. We encountered a similar situation last year with one of those identical calls. This time, though, it didn’t even reveal who was on the line as soon as I answered. There is a way to opt out, but honestly, what a cheeky move to have to actively decline a call that was unwanted in the first place! And on top of that, we have to fork out cash for this nonsense. So now, we’re simply going to proceed as we've discussed in our thread.

Absolutely the same experience here. The caller stayed silent for a good two minutes - we could tell someone was on the line - and then they just hung up. Quite odd!

I've received countless calls from this number. I just answered one of those calls, and it turned out to be some firm claiming they have funds available for a scrappage scheme in our locality. The trouble is, I have no clue what they’re on about! We told the chap not to ring us anymore, and he assured us he’d take our number off their list. Fingers crossed he actually follows through with that request! What a bloody pain! Don’t these companies realise that if we ever wished to find something, we'd actually do our homework and select the right people to contact ourselves? It’s simply maddening!

Received a call on my mobile this afternoon which left me rather perplexed. After a brief spell of silence, the line went dead. Then, out of the blue, I answered another call where I could distinctly hear a woman-could’ve been a couple of them-giggling away before they hung up. It's quite vexing and completely out of the blue, especially since this is our personal number, not one associated with any work or business cards. Just very odd and bothersome!

Suddenly, the line went silent, and it’s hard to comprehend what’s happening. We suspect the caller might be ensnared or in some kind of perilous situation, possibly imprisoned in a confined space. It seems she attempted to reach out for help, her voice muffled by some binding, making what would have been a cry for rescue into a faint, urgent whisper. Unfortunately, it looks like her captor caught on to her distress signal and cut the call before she could utter her final cries for assistance, leaving us in a state of unease and confusion.
