I just received what I sincerely hope is the first and final call from this number. I’m in the process of signing up with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) to avoid such nuisances in the future. Upon asking to have my number removed from their database, the caller inquired about our TPS membership. We admitted we weren’t quite familiar with it, to which she responded that removal wouldn’t be possible without that membership. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she claimed he was busy and promptly hung up. Jolly good! Fingers crossed this resolves our issues with them.

It seems these folks are peddling windows, and they frequently go by the name of Vulcan. Just let them know you're residing in a council property and request that your number be taken off their list. That ought to do the trick!

Honestly, it’s a right bother when you hang up and then need to make an urgent call, only to find that the line was still busy with Vulcan. It's frustrating! You can always redial and ask them to take your number off their list, but it’s rather ridiculous that we’re in a no-call directory here in the UK meant to shield us from these pesky telemarketers. Come on, Vulcan, sort yourselves out, will you? It’s about time you got your act in order, you numpties!
