It's best not to share any bank card details with them, as there seems to be quite a large scam unfolding at the moment. I've heard that several, let's say, "more mature individuals" have been caught out in the Minehead locality. If you're not happy with the situation, request they send you a bill instead. You can get in touch with the energy ombudsman for assistance; you'll find their telephone and email information on the back of the bill. Stay cautious!

I've encountered the same tale as many others. It's now been a fortnight running!

For the past week, we’ve been receiving calls from this number-usually one in the afternoon and several more around 4PM. As soon as we pick up, the line goes silent. We've tried calling the number back to uncover the mystery behind it, but after a couple of attempts, the line cuts off. Oddly enough, we then get a message saying, “the person you are trying to reach has disconnected.” Interestingly, BT mentioned that this number was quite similar to one used by the RAC for insurance marketing, but with the last digit being an eight instead of a nine. Quite the conundrum, isn’t it?

Absolutely, I can relate! I get calls roughly five times each month. On occasion, I've picked up, and the message is typically the same. They always ask to speak to the person responsible for the gas or electric bill. I usually end up telling them to “bugger off” before disconnecting. It's rather tedious, to say the least!
