Had a couple of missed calls from 0800 052 2170 yesterday. Did a quick search and it says it’s Virgin Media, or at least they say so, but I don’t have any deal with Virgin Media so I just blocked it. Then today, got another call from a different number which also claims to be Virgin Media? Not sure why they’re so pushy. They didn’t leave a voicemail so no way to tell for sure who it was, but it’s a bit weird to get called again today from another number. Even if it is Virgin Media, this feels like harassing behaviour since I don’t even have an account with them.

From what I've gathered, if you hold on for a brief moment, you'll eventually get through to someone who can discuss outstanding payments on your account, provided you agree to the call being recorded. Interestingly, the moment I mentioned I was also recording the conversation, they disconnected the call. I’d advise against returning to this number.
