They've called a few times but left no voicemail, so I just ignored the calls thinking it probably wasn't urgent.

Got a call from some random number out of the blue. Didn’t ask for it at all.

I usually ignore calls from numbers I don't recognise, so I did the same this time. But since I couldn’t see any reviews or info about the number online, I decided to ring it back. An automated American voice picked up and said something like ‘This number is not in service at the moment.’

I called the number back and got this message saying "the number you're trying to reach isn't in service." Bit odd since it did ring on my end!

This number rang me only once, right after I had blacklisted a cellphone number from both calls and texts. I had also blocked the person on Facebook and taken note of their email due to some nasty and harassing messages I received. I've passed this info on to my local cops, who are gonna get hold of Cheshire Police. Turns out, the person is already being looked into by Cheshire cops for harassment and sending malicious stuff.
