It’s the customary scenario where a student had inexplicably vanished from school. We received a barrage of texts about school fairs and the like. One message referred to Mexborough school, which we tried to contact but failed initially. Eventually, we managed to get through to them on 01709 585858, only to be greeted by a rather unpleasant receptionist. They insisted on identifying the pupil before they could remove us from their calling list. We’re both 22, studying hard, and really don’t have the time to be hounding these calls!

I reckon you think you're having a rough time? Imagine this - our line got cut off, and soon after, the phone rang again, wanting to speak to a Mrs. Lyndsay. Then, wouldn’t you know it, there was another call from a school over in Staffordshire! The irony is, I don’t even reside anywhere near that area; it’s quite the trek for me! The staff were quite understanding and didn't seem to realise their system was dialling the wrong numbers. Quite the relief to get some assistance!
