We're currently in anticipation of receiving a copy of that magazine, but after perusing your comments, I'm beginning to think we might be left waiting indefinitely. The call we received appeared quite legitimate, and the artwork they sent has even been given our seal of approval. Everything seemed perfectly above board, and we made the payment over the phone using our credit card. Honestly, we feel rather foolish at this point! We did our due diligence and everything seemed to check out. I suppose we've just thrown our money down the drain for what turned out to be advertising we never needed in the first place.

It seems we've fallen victim to what appears to be a scam orchestrated by a company claiming to produce a magazine for the Emergency Services. We’ve now reported the matter to Trading Standards for further investigation. Incidentally, one of the contact numbers they provided is the one listed above!

Back in 2008, we fell for their tricks. Being fresh to the whole mailing scene, I thought I was contributing to something worthwhile (how naive). Ever since, I’ve been bombarded with calls thanking me for my generosity and urging me to participate in their publication once more. Thankfully, I’ve become quite adept at spotting their spiel now and won’t be taken in again.

There's no need to feel foolish at all. It's clear that many folks have been caught out by this sort of thing. It’s quite unkind to exploit people's kindness. We're all eagerly anticipating the next time these individuals give us a ring. Just the other day, we received one of their calls. While we had our suspicions that something was amiss, we never quite grasped how serious it really was.

We're eagerly anticipating a copy of that magazine we ordered, but after perusing your comments, we're beginning to think it might be a lost cause. The call we received seemed perfectly legitimate, and Art showed up as promised, which we found reassuring. Everything felt absolutely above board, and we used our card to make payment over the phone. Looking back, we feel rather foolish! We had our suspicions, but it all appeared to be on the level. Now it seems our funds for what was supposed to be a promotional opportunity have disappeared down the drain, which we certainly didn't sign up for!

I recently received a call back from the local police advising me to report any suspicious emails or phone calls to actionfraud.org, which is precisely what I'm set to do. A chap named Robert Stevens was on the line, insisting that due to the 'work' done by these individuals, we are obliged to cough up some cash. Absolutely not! The police have urged me to dial 999 should these people show up demanding money.

Absolutely, it appears these individuals are trying to pull a fast one, claiming they've provided artwork. We've let them know that we’re more than willing to take this to court and have also involved the police. Have you had any luck with Action Fraud? We're planning to reach out to them as well, along with Watchdog.

We suspect that the company has pulled a fast one on us, claiming to run a magazine aimed at emergency services. It’s currently being looked into by trading standards. One of the numbers they've given us matches one of those listed above!

We recently received an invoice for an advertisement that we supposedly consented to. I called them up to clarify that there’s absolutely no chance we’d be parting with any cash. Mr Stevens from esBulletin then threatened, “I must caution you, I will escalate this matter to my legal team!” To which we responded, “Alright then, we’ll await your call eagerly.”

I've received calls from a telemarketer claiming to represent a so-called "Crime Prevention" magazine. They went as far as to masquerade as police officers, even using titles like chief inspector. It’s all a sham, and they’ve been requesting credit card details over the phone. I checked with the local police, and they've confirmed this is a scam. Whatever you do, don't give them a penny!

We've been involved with this company for some time now. I'm still patiently waiting for a refund that's been "on its way" for what feels like an eternity. Can anyone confirm if the refund has actually been credited back to our card? I suppose I'll just have to hang tight and see how this unfolds.

I wanted to share a rather dubious experience we've had recently. Our Director was approached by IPL regarding an advertisement in Crime Prevention Magazine, and she tentatively gave her approval. However, today-while she’s sunning herself on holiday-we received the email and invoice, which screamed "scam!" We quickly made a phone call to them and made it crystal clear that we won't be settling any invoices due to their name and number being flagged online as part of a con. As soon as we mentioned our refusal to pay, they unceremoniously hung up on us. Quite appalling, really!

Count us in! This was rather disappointing, to say the least! What a waste of funds!

I'm curious, is there any link between Peter Daly and Arthur Daly? And what about Delboy, is he part of the team too?

We've had some interactions with this company... I'm currently waiting on a refund that's been taking an age to process. It's been said to be on its way back to our card, but I’m really starting to wonder when it will actually appear. We’ll just have to sit tight and see how this pans out.
