I've just realised that this number belongs to Halifax, and I'm actually standing in their branch at the moment! Is it possible that there's a mortgage linked to your previous address? If you let the callers know you're not interested in receiving marketing calls, they should stop bothering you. It's far simpler than trying to lodge a complaint with the authorities about a legitimate business.

We believe this number should be blocked, and the more complaints lodged, the better! Let's all reach out to our local Members of Parliament to put an end to this nonsense. I received yet another call last night from these individuals who insisted on speaking to the main account holders for our gas and electric bills. We informed them that the relevant parties weren't available, but they still asked if they could note down their names. We made it abundantly clear that we weren’t interested in providing that information.

I certainly gave them a piece of my thoughts! As we’re expecting a baby and really don’t need the hassle of racing to the phone every half hour to answer an 0845 call, their approach was quite off-putting. To add insult to injury, they had the cheek to request confirmation of our identity! Thankfully, the chap on the other end assured me he would remove our number from their database, so fingers crossed this incessant ringing has come to a halt.

So, I decided to reach out to Hero STC customer service. They informed me that the calls were being made on behalf of E.ON.
