We just received a phone call from these individuals inquiring about our flatmate, bombarding us with all sorts of questions. When we asked who was calling, the chap on the line simply identified himself as "Mr Alexander". To wrap up the conversation, he handed us a phone number to ring back along with a reference number, claiming that he would "know precisely what this meant". However, when we probed further, he had no clue what we were talking about! Quite baffling, isn't it?

The phone rang at precisely 8:15 in the morning, and yet again, the callers refused to reveal their identity. They came across as rather too smug for my liking, especially when we declined to share our personal details without knowing who we were actually conversing with! They tried to assert that we had spoken to someone from their team a fortnight ago, which was utterly false! With an air of arrogance, she continued to insist this was the case before abruptly cutting the call. What a farce!

We made it clear that we wouldn’t share any of our information without them properly identifying themselves first. They then responded with something like, "Oh, that's fine, I’ll send you a letter instead." Seems rather suspicious, if you ask me!
