LATEST NEWS. We got in touch with BT, and they looked into this number for us. It turns out it definitely belongs to a company that contacted Homeserve. They appear to be a debt collection agency. We’ve also flagged this number with the Telephone Preference Service.

I strongly believe that cold calling should be prohibited, especially in the case of HomeServe. Interestingly, they may have contacted me due to my recent internet browsing activities. I happened to stumble upon the Home and Away website and a yacht agency site around two months ago. Could it be possible that these websites shared my phone number, which they obtained through my BT phoneline? Let's hope that the recent news of hefty fines for persistent cold calling puts an end to these irritating nuisances once and for all!
