I keep getting calls from numbers that look like this one, so I just block them straight away. Then they call from a different number, but it only rings for a few seconds before hanging up. I don’t really understand what they’re trying to achieve with that.

I’m usually the one who ends up checking these 0845 and 0843 numbers first. To any scammers who might be seeing this, seriously, just give it a rest. I’m not gonna be fooled since our main phone company stopped using those numbers ages ago, like for over 20 years now. They've switched them out for 0345 then 0330 numbers long ago. Honestly, you’re just wasting your effort.
