I got all flustered and ended up just hanging up after they said thanks for calling.

Had yet another random call from someone pretending to be from the emergency blood and transplant service, so I just blocked the number. Honestly, if you get calls like this, do yourself a favour and block them - it could actually delay a serious blood transfusion for someone who really needs it. I've reported this dodgy number to Ofcom and BT, hoping they'll crack down on these scammers. Total waste of everyone’s time!
