This is definitely a nuisance call. I received a message in a robotic voice claiming my number was confirmed and that they'd be reaching out shortly. What a pain!

For the past three months, I've been getting loads of calls from numbers starting with 0845 and 0843, but the last four digits are never the same. I've probably had about 30 of them and not one repeats exactly. They ring just a bit and then hang up, which I guess is to tempt you into calling back and racking up charges. I only picked up once when they called twice in quick succession, and it was an automated message saying something like “thank you for registering. Your phone number has been checked.”

I picked up the phone and this robotic voice told me my number was confirmed and that someone would be in touch shortly, then it just cut off. Feels like a scam trying to get me to ring them back.

Got a call that seemed dodgy, but then they read out a message about the number being confirmed legit before suddenly dropping the call.

I keep gettin calls from this number but it just rings once and then stops. I guess it’s one of those tricks to make you ring back and end up paying loads on some premium line or summat. Really annoying!
