My phone buzzed four times then it just stopped ringing, so I went ahead and blocked the number.

It rings a couple of times and then just goes silent.

As soon as I picked up, a pre-recorded voice chimed in, letting me know, "Thank you! Your number is now verified... Expect to hear from us soon." I wasted no time and promptly blocked that number right afterwards.

Not really sure what it was, but when I rang back, I heard a US style dial tone and then someone with a sort of American or Asian accent said, "thank you for calling, your number has been verified." I have no clue why anyone would be checking my number like that, so I reckon it might be a scam.
