My 84-year-old grandmother, who looks after my similarly aged disabled grandfather, has just been fleeced £200 by a tradesman for fitting an 8-way TV aerial splitter. This was completely unnecessary as we only had a perfectly functional 4-way splitter before. Out of the two televisions, one solely relies on Freesat, and she merely wanted a second line connected to the Freesat dish for the other set. The bloke assured her that she didn’t need to link the Freesat box at all; he claimed all she required was an aerial for Freeview. We’ve ended up with no connection to the Freesat dish, and let’s not forget, they even charged her for ringing their premium hotline! Terribly dodgy service - steer clear of them!
