Greetings everyone! I wanted to share a crucial update regarding those phone calls - they originate from a group known as Business & Community Support Multimedia, and trust me, they're nothing short of con artists. They managed to deceive about 120 individuals, including ourselves, but we're standing firm and not letting them try again. The culprits operate under the names Darrel, Catherine, Laura, or Sarah. If you receive a call from them, please do not engage! They’re skilled at tricking you into confirming an order. Additionally, CF&L, the company sending those debt letters, is affiliated with these same fraudsters. We've already reached out to Trading Standards and the Office of Fair Trading about this issue. Please, don't agree to anything they propose!

We've recently reached out to the Consumer Council, and they recommended that we drop an automated email stating that we haven't entered into any written agreement with these individuals. They've also advised us to request either a copy of any contract we purportedly signed or an unaltered transcript of the phone conversation where we supposedly consented to such a contract. Following that, we contacted Royal Mail in an effort to pinpoint the address for CF&L and learnt that their PO Box number is 45, which, intriguing enough, is linked to PFA Publications in Liverpool.

After conducting a bit of sleuthing regarding the BCS and CF, it’s become quite clear that this is a scheme designed to unsettle individuals, pressuring them into parting with their cash. Should you find yourself in a position where you’ve been duped into making a payment, I strongly encourage you to reach out to Trading Standards and report the fraudulent activity. It's high time these shenanigans come to an end, but they’ll only persist if we don’t make a fuss about the numerous complaints.

Could anyone shed some light on whether the phone number 01512250191, associated with Crime Prevention Magazine from MGS Media, is indeed a legitimate contact for the company? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

Don't hand over a penny to them and keep your cool! These folks are merely trying their luck, and as mentioned, they’re in a bind. So, there's absolutely no need to fret!

I strongly advise against engaging with this company - just hang up! BCS Multimedia is nothing short of a scam. They lure you in with the promise of placing an advert in a local publication, but before you know it, you're receiving threatening letters from a debt collection agency called C F and L, demanding payment. Stay vigilant and steer clear!

I appreciate the heads-up. I contacted the local fire service right after I received an offer for a 99 ad slot. It’s apparent these individuals have no clue about magazines or haven’t granted permission for any such publications. The wisest course of action was to report the matter to the police (the genuine ones), as they’ll gather all relevant details.

The other day, my phone rang, and it was CF&L claiming we owed them £786. As soon as the chat got underway, we decided to automate it, and we plan to share the entire thing on YouTube in the coming weeks. Just look up our name to catch it. Don’t let these cheeky gits stress you out!

From the little digging we've managed to do regarding BCS and CF and L, it's become pretty clear that this is nothing more than a scam designed to bully individuals into parting with their hard-earned cash. If you find yourself falling victim to their tactics, we strongly encourage you to reach out to Trading Standards and Action Fraud. It's only through a solid number of complaints that we can ensure these individuals are held accountable for their dubious actions.

We recently reached out to the Consumer Council for some guidance, and they suggested we shoot over an automated email. In that message, we should state that we don’t have any documentation of a written contract with these folks. They also recommended requesting either a copy of the contract we allegedly signed or an unedited transcript of our phone conversation where we supposedly agreed to any terms. After that, we gave Royal Mail a ring to track down the address for CF&L based at PO Box 45, and it turns out it’s linked to PFA Publications in Liverpool.

Blimey, that was something else! The brochure seemed like it was crafted by a bunch of kids in primary school, and I mean that as a bit of a dig towards kids, because this was even worse. They sent me three CDs filled with recorded conversations where we were just saying "yes" at random times, not to mention another one trying to peddle ad space for police, fire services, and all that jazz. The last one was us trying to warn them off, pointing out they’re pulling a fast one with all sorts of loop holes, if you catch my drift. Seriously though, steer clear of these other companies hawking advertising slots. Your best bet is to stick with your local paper and ditch the rest!

Absolutely, steer clear of this company! It's an utter scam. I never consented to anything, no contracts or agreements signed, and out of the blue, I find myself being advertised and slapped with a £100 bill. It's ridiculous how these people operate-complete cowboys!

I'm experiencing the same problems! What exactly has transpired? Have these individuals decided to take legal action against you?

I would advise caution regarding this company. They deceived us into believing they were affiliated with the local police force. Initially, they approached us about advertising in their magazine dated September 2009, for which we paid £111. Unfortunately, we didn’t receive anything in return. Then, in April 2010, they contacted us again, claiming to be linked with Crimestoppers-a similar scam. As soon as we raised concerns about our previous payment, they abruptly ended the call. It's a rather dubious situation, to say the least!

I've just popped up a recorded message on YouTube for anyone who's a bit concerned. If you search for 'frysport30', you’ll find it. So, no need to fret, it's worth a watch!

I received a call from 01517020902 today, and it was a rather abrasive representative from CF & L, claiming we owed £468.25. They mentioned sending some correspondence and said they’d halve the amount if we settled immediately for some advertising we never consented to. Frankly, we've never signed anything or had any dealings with BCS Multimedia whatsoever! Their tone was incredibly rude, and they didn’t come across as a legitimate company at all. They threatened that the bill would swell to £1900 if we didn’t cough up now, suggesting they’d take legal action. I’ve firmly told them to bring it on; we’re not intimidated!

Absolutely, I’m baffled by this company! They went ahead with something I never even consented to. No agreement was ever signed on my part, yet here I am, being confronted with an unexpected £100 bill. What a load of deceitful opportunists!

My wife and I have been dealt the same frustration with BCS as well, particularly with all the phone calls from Daniel at C F & L. I’ve encountered similar issues regarding Abingdon House too. This Daniel seems to have a penchant for ringing us frequently, claiming he's got automated messages to relay, yet he never provides any concrete evidence! It’s quite outrageous that these individuals are permitted to act in this manner. Despite our polite requests for him to cease contacting us, the calls persist. So, we’ve resorted to simply terminating the calls when he rings.
