I've been inundated with calls from British Gas regarding an individual I've never even known. I've contacted them multiple times to sort out their records, and while they assure me they will rectify the situation, the issue remains unresolved. On top of that, there's always a lengthy wait before anyone picks up, which is quite concerning. They ought to focus their efforts on reducing gas bills rather than pestering unsuspecting individuals!

There are stringent guidelines in place governing how these entities can present their offerings, and the FSA has the authority to levy hefty penalties for any breaches of these regulations. It's becoming increasingly frequent, isn't it? Honestly, how utterly ridiculous! Occasionally, you get a response from them, and other times, absolutely nothing at all. What's the reasoning behind that, I wonder? It's baffling, to say the least!

I found that this number belonged to British Gas. Ofcom has prohibited UK firms from making silent calls, so it's worth reporting this to them.

I recently received a call from that number, but sadly I wasn't able to pick up in time. When I returned the call, I was met with a pre-recorded message saying that the call wasn't urgent and that someone would reach out to me later. Quite intriguing, isn't it?

10:01 on the 29th of February, and while I was busy getting on with my day, the phone rang. Upon answering, I found myself greeted by nothing but silence-just the words "hello, hello?" floating into the void. To my dismay, it turned out to be British Gas. Quite frankly, this has been a right waste of time, and you can count me out as a future customer. Their loss, not mine!

We're encountering the same issue, and it seems to happen multiple times a day, kicking off at eight fifteen in the morning! Just the other day, we reached out to British Gas to let them know about these incessant calls and mentioned this website. However, they seemed utterly oblivious to the problem-nothing came up in their system. To make matters worse, their computers were apparently on the fritz, leaving them unable to assist us at all. They promised a callback, but surprise, surprise-no call has materialised!

The typical situation, isn't it? You pick up the phone, only to be greeted by silence after a couple of rings. What on earth was the purpose of that? I've had this happen repeatedly over the past month; some bothersome individual just can’t seem to take a hint. Quite infuriating, to say the least!

09:38 on a Saturday morning, 1st March! The telephone rang and as soon as I answered, a woman started rambling on. Honestly, we’d had enough. We told her straight, “Look, we’re not interested. Stop ringing us and wasting our time. Tell your management to take a long walk off a short pier! We have zero intention of using British Gas after being bombarded with these incessant calls. This harassment has no place in our downtime!"

It's quite baffling, really. This has occurred three times already today! We pick up the phone, respond, and then there's just silence. Out of the blue, these callers end the conversation. Very frustrating! :/

It’s pretty much the same for us. Had two calls in quick succession. Just enough to make you double-check your phone, only to find nobody on the other end.

What a right kerfuffle! These blokes keep ringing our mobile, letting it ring two or three times before hanging up. The other day, we missed a whopping 12 calls from this number! It’s beyond irritating, to say the least! It feels like some cheeky call centre worker is trying to rack up their call stats. I must say, any company that employs 0845 or 0870 numbers strikes me as rather dodgy and lacking in ethics. Personally, I tend to avoid them like the plague and instead, I take my business elsewhere. It’s quite maddening how sluggish Ofcom is in addressing this issue. Funny enough, they rushed to endorse the whole idea of those costly shared-rate phone lines without a second thought.

I wouldn't usually answer calls from numbers I don't recognise. That said, there's a chance it could be The National Lottery letting us know we've struck it lucky, or perhaps British Gas reaching out to schedule their annual service for our gas appliances. Looks like I’ll have to give them a bell after all!
