Got a call from someone claiming to be British Gas about a meter reading. I asked to speak to the person named, but when they said they couldn’t get hold of them, they just hung up on me. They barely stuck to their script, except when they mentioned my energy usage was too high. The number looked dodgy, probably an offshore call centre spoofing the ID - these days you can’t really trust who’s on the other end.
