Got a weird call from someone trying to get me to renew an insurance policy I don’t even have. My boiler insurance is actually with a different company, the one that came out to fix it a few months back. Seems like a scam to me.

Got a call from 0845 0531729, a lady named Eva claiming to be from Boiler Protection Network. She said they wanted to renew my boiler cover and offered a discount since I hadn’t contacted them in the past year. Strange thing is, she quoted my bank details and mentioned a direct debit I supposedly had with them. I told her all this was nonsense as my boiler is brand new and still under warranty. Double checked my bank statements and found no such direct debit set up. Watch out for Boiler Protection Network - feels like a scam to me.
