Had a call from what claimed to be the energy helpline. When I attempted to return the number, I was met with an automated response, and the line cut off after that. It's impossible to get this number removed from the directory. I let the call sit on mute for a bit, and then a chap asked for our name not once, but twice. He finally revealed that the call was regarding some money these folks supposedly owed us. Honestly, it didn’t feel like a legitimate call at all. I'm registered with the TPS and have reported this to them as well.

We just received a call from this number, but they didn’t leave a message. So, I called them back after using 141, and I heard: “You were contacted earlier today by the energy helpline. I will try to reach you again later.” It’s infuriating how these clueless people are always after our cash! Just this afternoon, we settled our bills for both gas and electricity with Southern Gas-one through their automated system, and the other by speaking to an actual person because the automated service claimed there was an error. Really, it’s quite ridiculous!

Received a call at precisely 2:33 PM on Tuesday, 7th February 2011. I answered the phone, and to my annoyance, there was complete silence on the other end. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially as we were anticipating an important call.

We received a call from this number earlier today. The individuals claimed they were assisting our partner with changing energy suppliers. Interestingly, she has just made that switch! They mentioned needing to discuss a matter concerning our new provider, who seems to have reduced their rates yet again. We told them to call back and speak to my husband since he was the one who handled the whole transition. I've had these callers on my line three times over the last few days, and I suspect they’re based overseas. I told them I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service since they seem to be using an illegal database and are clearly on the infamous exclusion list. I demanded they remove my details immediately, warning them that I’d escalate the matter to the TPS if they didn’t comply. Honestly, what a hassle!
