This morning around 7.45, my husband picked up the phone and it started with some automated voice calling me by my first name, spouting nonsense about love and kisses! He quickly got fed up and hung up, saying I was lucky he answered instead of me. From now on, we’ll be extra cautious about calls so early in the day, even though initially we thought it could be an actual caller.

Yeah, it’s the BT text messaging service. If a business links your landline to your details, they might send a text there. This service rings you to pass on that message. I had it happen when I got a call confirming an order was ready for collection. If you don’t pick up, it’ll keep calling to get the message through. Naturally, if the message is a scam, then you’ll hear that dodgy stuff instead.

This number is the BT texting service. Folks saying it’s a scam probs haven’t paid attention to the recording or maybe don’t understand English properly. It plainly states it’s from BT text service. You get a call from here when someone sends a text to your landline. If you get a spam text on your landline, this service just passes it on. Totally not a scam. who-called.co.uk really needs to check the reviews better.
