I recently received a call from an unknown number, and the caller claimed they were offering a whopping 60% discount, but only for that day. When I mentioned I needed to consult my husband before proceeding, he persisted in prattling on about how brilliant it would be to upgrade from my old phone. Despite politely declining the offer, he continued to bombard me with reasons why I should consider it, even asking for my bank details! I was quite bewildered and almost started to share the info, but thankfully, I had the sense to pause. His tone was rather aggressive and rude - he kept insisting I just needed to give him a minute. That was the final straw for me, so I ended the call. What a nuisance!

I've been presented with an opportunity to acquire a Samsung mobile device, but they’ve requested my banking information to carry out a credit assessment. Is this a standard practice?

Total scam, folks! Steer clear or, on the flip side, pick up the phone and give them a right merry time! 😉

Received a rather dubious call from this number, purporting to be from Three. They claimed I was selected for an exclusive new contract due to my loyalty as a customer. Naturally, I went along with it and provided my details, even signing up for this contract alongside some other offers, like a Supercard. However, upon contacting Three directly, they have no record of this transaction whatsoever. When I attempted to ring the number back, all I got was a marketing spiel, asking me to hold for a consultant, but it just loops endlessly. Quite concerning, if you ask me! Can anyone assist?

Has anyone experienced unauthorised withdrawals from their bank account? If so, what were the amounts involved? Do you reckon it's a con or can I still expect my phone to arrive?

Hello there! I’m in a bit of a pickle and could really use some guidance. I handed over all my personal info, including my bank details, to someone who promised me a new phone. After I realised something was off, I called a number they provided to cancel everything, but I’m still feeling uneasy about the whole situation. Should I go ahead and block my card for safety? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Who on earth are these people? They’ve got all my information, yet I haven’t received a single word from them since!

The way they handle payments is a solid justification for not having accounts that require a PIN. Online transactions without an internet connection just don't work. It's wise to consult your bank about this!

Hi there, Monica!
Just wanted to clarify that this isn't a scam at all. It's actually a telemarketing firm that's an official partner for various service providers. They won't take any money from you directly; instead, they pass your information along to the respective provider, who will then handle the charges.

Just yesterday, I received an intriguing offer for an iPhone from them and decided to share my details. They promised to give me a call today, but alas, the phone hasn’t rung. To add to the confusion, I took it upon myself to contact Three regarding this matter, only to discover that the number in question has no connection to them whatsoever. Quite baffling, isn’t it?

Hello there! I’ve found myself in a similar predicament. Silly me, I ended up sharing my banking information with them as well. Is there any way to put a stop to all of this? I’m worried they might try to access my funds! If anyone has any advice on how to go about this, I’d be most grateful. Cheers, Monica.

I received a call from this number claiming they had an S5 Neo available through Vodafone. In my moment of naivety, I ended up sharing all my personal information, including my bank details. They assured me an email would be sent regarding the offer, but it hasn't arrived yet. I'm quite worried about what might have happened.

I attempted to ring the number again since they managed to convince my elderly father, who's also disabled, into signing up for a phone and broadband package, and he didn't grasp what they were telling him. However, when I tried calling, the line just beeped and then disconnected. I even tried from another phone, but it told me that the number isn't valid and is apparently up for grabs again? How bizarre!

I recently received a phone call after participating in an online survey, during which I clearly declined any callback. The caller attempted to entice me with an offer of cash for my old mobile that could allegedly terminate my existing contract, along with a shiny new S5 phone boasting unlimited this and that. Foolishly, I handed over my banking information, albeit cautiously, and they mentioned I’d get another call to confirm the order. However, after reflecting on this, I’ve decided to backtrack. They've also signed me up for a complimentary trial of various services that I now wish to cancel. What on earth have I gotten myself into?

I received a rather dodgy phone call earlier today from someone claiming to represent Vodafone, insisting that I should divulge my bank information. When I firmly declined, they became quite aggressive, barking something along the lines of, "Aren't you interested in saving some cash and grabbing a new iPhone?" The whole spiel felt incredibly phoney, like something straight out of a bad soap opera. I ended the call, but they continued to bombard me with calls relentlessly-at least seven or eight times! It was absolutely infuriating!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, and they mentioned a deal I supposedly signed up for. However, it turns out they're merely a marketing firm. They've attempted to withdraw funds from my bank account, but thankfully I managed to prevent it for now. I've been trying to reach them back on the number they provided, but every time I'm met with disconnection. Cheers!
