I received a text message as well, and it bore the Barclays name at the top.

It urged me to ring straight away if I hadn’t recognised the transaction in question. Sounds like a dodgy phone number, doesn’t it? I ended up waiting on the line for more than 16 minutes, which felt a bit off and made me raise my eyebrows in doubt.
