Southern Monitoring Alarm - for everyone moaning about getting calls and giving them grief, it's not really their fault if they've been passed an old number and the keyholder hasn't told them about the change. Cancelled mobile numbers usually get reused after about six months. This ain't a scam, some people just overreact way too much.

Total scam! They rang me and my bloke, same lady’s voice on both calls. When I checked the voicemail, it was the exact same message about some flat in Brackley, which we had to look up because we’d never even heard of the place before.

Southern Monitoring called the emergency contact about an alarm triggering. My elderly parent, some kind of kitchen mishap, plus two ambulances incoming. I wasn’t even aware I was listed as a contact, couldn’t get hold of him on either his phone or mobile, nor the neighbours next door. All good, though - everything fine in the end.

I received calls at an ungodly hour, 4am and then again at 4.45am. They addressed me by a name that wasn’t even mine, claiming there was a temporary alarm going off at two random locations. Utter nonsense! Clearly, they chose the dead of night to catch you off guard when you’re half asleep and more likely to forget their particulars. I really can’t make sense of what they were after, but it’s evident they’re just pesky spam callers. Best to avoid answering if you can. If they do catch you, be sure to inquire who they are and from which company. If their name rings no bells, just hang up and lower your volume to silent. It’s absolutely ridiculous! I’m a mother to five little ones and battling cancer. Being woken in the early hours felt more like being shot in the head than a wake-up call! Honestly, who are these dreadful people making such random calls? Just downright awful!

They’ve rung me 9 times in just 3 days, with at least three different people speaking. I blocked the number after the 2nd time but the voicemails keep coming.
