For years I've been using this number to ring the USA and it was fine, no issues at all. This week though, I called thinking it would still be just 1p a minute, so I didn't bother checking the cost. I ended up talking for about 40 minutes, and just got my phone bill to see I was hit with a £4.30 charge! That's way more than I expected. Honestly, I won't be using this number again if the charges are gonna be like that. Surely they should warn us if prices go up? Can anyone explain what's going on? Would really like to hear back.

At first, I was paying just 1p per minute when I used this number to ring places like Croatia and Germany in Europe. But after a while, I noticed the charges shot up to like five or six times that. How are these phone companies allowed to do this? It feels like downright theft!
