I attempted to reserve a room at The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel located on Abingdon Road, OX1 4PS, Oxford, and dialled the number 08448542910 listed on their site. Unfortunately, I had to make two calls since I was met with an automated response and couldn't get through to anyone. To my astonishment, last month, I noticed a charge of £1.38 plus VAT on my phone bill! What a peculiar way to generate revenue! It seems the hotel may be struggling if they resort to charging prospective guests just to secure a booking. Based on the reviews I came across on Google and TripAdvisor, it appears to be a bit dodgy and bordering on a SCAM! Exercise caution and avoid calling this establishment!

I had a rather annoying experience with this number, which rang my phone three times on the 27th of July.
Upon going through my recent bill, I discovered I’ve been stung for a grand total of £2.69, plus VAT, for those calls.
I haven't a clue who they are or their reasons for contacting me.
Seems to me that we’ve got yet another pesky scam artist on the loose!

I noticed an unexpected charge on my phone bill - they’ve tacked on over £4 for a call to this number. It claims I had a chat with them on Sunday, May 8th for a whopping 14 minutes and 50 seconds! I can confidently say that I did not place this call at all.
