I was just sifting through my list of outgoing calls and realised I've dialled a number associated with Halifax. Now, I can’t recall reaching out to them, but it seems I did. Here’s what perplexes me: if I only intended to have a chat with Customer Services, why on earth should customers be saddled with exorbitant charges for simply getting their issues sorted? In these times, it's become the norm to sit on hold for over an hour before getting a response from any large company, which is utterly ridiculous. It appears that all sorts of organisational failings are being conveniently attributed to Covid these days. It's about time they sorted it out!
