I would appreciate the opportunity to chat with you about a monetary issue I’m facing.

Could you let me know who this person is?

I’ve just arrived back home, and my mother mentioned that a debt collection agency has been trying to reach us, yet they neglected to provide a reference number. So, we decided to ring the number they left, but after a brief hold of about five seconds, we were met with silence. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially since my mum's gone and assumed the worst, thinking we’re in debt and now refuses to serve me dinner! What a right pickle we’ve found ourselves in!

We're constantly getting phone calls from these chaps claiming we owe them some dosh. The maddening bit is they’re never clear on the amount or whom it’s allegedly owed to, plus they’ve got our address completely wrong - something we’ve pointed out to them time and again! I can't help but wonder if they're somehow linked to Westcott, another debt recovery outfit? In any case, we’ve blocked their number, so at least that’s a small relief.

I keep getting voicemails from 08448241155, but there’s no reference number given. We’ve tried calling them back, and they seem completely baffled about why we’re receiving their calls. Quite perplexing, to be honest!

My father has received a second letter from Wescot, claiming that he owes money to BT, which is utter nonsense. We decided to call them straight away to get to the bottom of this, but the representatives were unhelpful and refused to provide any specific information.

I received a call from 08448241155, but it seems they're just leaving messages without any identifiers. When we tried to call back, the folks on the other end had no clue why they’d reached out to us! Quite perplexing, if you ask me.

My partner had a rather peculiar interaction with this company. The chap on the phone spoke in almost a whisper and appeared quite anxious, refusing to divulge any details. Right at the end, he mumbled something about debt collection, which has left us feeling quite unsettled, especially since we’re certain we have no outstanding debts on our end. Given that we’re ex-directory, we’re also quite puzzled as to how they even got our number. After perusing some alarming reviews online, we’ve no intention of answering the phone again anytime soon. Typically, if there were a legitimate issue concerning debt, we would have received a proper notification by post beforehand. The whole thing just doesn't sit right with us.

We've been getting these automated messages from a bunch of clowns. Haven't bothered to ring them back, mind you. But from what I gather, when you ring them up here in the UK, they seem to be pestering folks about neighbours who owe them dosh or have done a runner. It’s dodgy and not above board at all!

We received a rather urgent email requesting us to get in touch with them, which we did. Upon speaking with these individuals, they informed us that we supposedly owe O2 a whopping £2,170. This was quite bewildering, given that we have never missed a payment on our phone bill. Following that, we reached out to O2 directly and confirmed that we only have one account and have no outstanding charges with them. We then called Wescot for further details on this alleged bill, but they were quite unhelpful, saying they would send the invoice through the post. We’re now left hanging, waiting to see what unfolds. I advise everyone to stay vigilant!

We were slapped with a charge of 45p, and we didn’t even place a single call to that number! What a load of nonsense!

Following on from my previous remarks, we eventually picked up the phone again to find out how these individuals obtained our number. The lady on the line was quite insistent in her effort to obtain our address, but despite referencing a case number, she claimed she couldn't assist us without it. We pointed out that if we had an actual debt, we would have received a written correspondence beforehand. We also told her that any genuine concerns should be communicated to us in writing. I would strongly caution others against falling for the tricks of callers claiming to represent this company; it's wise to remain sceptical and protect your personal information.

We continually get phone calls from individuals claiming we owe them money. They refuse to disclose the amount or the actual recipient of these supposed debts. What's more, they persistently have our wrong address, which we've communicated to them time and time again. Do these callers have any affiliation with Westcott, that other debt collection agency? I've had enough of it and have now blocked their number on our phone.

This company has been linked to the tragic case of Beryl Brazier-look her up if you’re curious. I strongly advise steering clear of this firm and not spending a single penny with them; we really don’t want to see a repeat of such heartbreak. But don’t just take my word for it! Check out the discussions on the Consumer Action Group’s debt collection forum to discover the reality of Wescot for yourselves. It’s eye-opening, to say the least!

In relation to my previous remarks, we eventually decided to return the call to uncover how these individuals obtained our number. The young woman on the line was quite persistent, trying to get us to 'verify our address.' Even though she mentioned a reference number, she claimed she couldn't assist us without one. I made it clear that if we were dealing with a legitimate debt, we would have received a proper written notice beforehand. I also suggested that if these people had any genuine concerns, they ought to reach out to us in writing. I'd strongly recommend that folks stay vigilant and not fall for the ruse of callers claiming to represent this company.
