Over the past month, I've received a fair few calls from the numbers 08448111524, 08448111505, and 08448111838. Each time, they're looking for someone who's definitely not us. I've asked them twice now to remove our number from their database, but alas, my pleas have gone unheard. Quite the nuisance, I must say!

Mercers from Birmingham, are they? I suggest getting an app on your mobile that can effectively block their number. Just picture the look on their faces when they try to ring you from various numbers, only to find that your phone doesn’t let it through. If they really need to reach out, they can always drop you a message instead. And if they’ve mislaid your credit agreement, well, that’s just another reason to chuckle. A rather odd call came through from someone claiming to represent Barclays. They asked for personal details without actually explaining the purpose of their call. Once we expressed our hesitation to share any information due to uncertainty about their legitimacy, the caller appeared quite irritable. We informed them that we would get in touch with Barclays directly later in the day. Curiously, the person insisted they were calling from Barclays on a Saturday evening at six o’clock. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
