I swear, this number isn’t in my contacts but it still showed up as a charge on my phone bill! How is that even possible?

Got a collect call, so I just blocked the number. You might want to get in touch with your phone provider too and ask them to stop any calls starting with 08 - they’re all the same trick. Basically, they’re just trying to sneak extra charges on your phone bill.

This number kept ringing me several times and I ended up being charged 60p every time. I didn’t even make any of these calls, just saw the extra fees on my phone bill.

I’ve never dialled this number but just noticed a charge from it, and it’s also not showing on my call history anywhere.

Apparently, I’ve been charged for 16 calls that I never actually placed. Out of these, 8 calls are recorded, and strangely, two of them happened at the exact same moment (repeated 8 times). None of these calls are mine. The numbers showing up on my bill are either 0844 800 3811 or 0844 800 3813x.

Seen this number and a couple like it pop up on my phone bill, even though I've never dialled or gotten calls from them. Not a single one showed up in my call history but I still got charged. Each call cost about 55p per minute just for picking up. Apparently I got 4 calls that day but no evidence in my logs whatsoever. Contacted my provider and asked them to block all numbers starting with 084*.

Weirdly enough, this number shows up as one I supposedly rang? I’ve got no clue who they are and I definitely didn’t make that call!!
