Who would have thought that trying to sort out a delivery issue caused by Yodel would end up costing me for my phone call? Just got my phone bill and decided to check with Yodel on their chat about where it says on their site or app that their helpline is a premium rate number. Their reply was basically that it’s not stated it’s free, so I should get in touch with the retailer instead. Absolutely ridiculous… I’ll definitely be double-checking which delivery company is doing the job next time I order something.

Ive had the exact same probs with Yodel and their phone charges. Now I always tell online stores to avoid using Yodel for deliveries coz they never actually try to deliver and then expect you to pay loads just to get info from them. Proper frustrating!

I kept getting messages from a premium Yodel number saying my parcel was returned to the depot a few times cos the driver had issues. I called to check and they kept saying it was out for delivery. This all started on 8th December. By the 20th, the supplier refunded me and told me to keep the parcel if it ever showed up. Then it finally turned up on Christmas Eve. I get that December is mad busy but this felt totally daft.

They told us to ring the number above to sort out a pick-up from a warehouse. We checked our CCTV and there's no sign anyone came to deliver a parcel at the time and date they mentioned. So, I reckon this is a dodgy scam.

Heads up! Got a text about a missed delivery from a supposed premium rate Yodel number. But I was home all day and my CCTV didn’t catch any delivery try. I contacted the shop where I bought the item. Unbelievable! Tried ringing Yodel about tracking my parcel and the call went on for nearly 38 minutes. Ended up with two separate charges on my bill - one was 63p, the other was £17.63. Plus, I noticed another charge from a different Yodel number, 08442480828, for £2.02. So in total, I got stung for about £20 extra on my phone bill! Honestly, Yodel are the worst when it comes to parcels, and they’re absolute daylight robbers on phone calls.

I had to get on the blower to Yodel because the tracking said the driver left my parcel in a secure outhouse. Both my sheds are locked tight with hefty padlocks to keep out thieves. They never left a note explaining where it was left, and it’s been five weeks now, still no call back “after speaking to the driver”. Funny thing is, it turned up about two hours after I rang, chucked over a neighbour’s hedge. They didn’t even bother coming down my driveway! You’re stuck because you have to chase them just to find out what nonsense they’ve done with your delivery. The worst time was when they dumped a big parcel in the middle of a hospital corridor, miles from where I actually work. Nearly sparked a bomb scare! What’s mad is the shipping label had my mobile number right on it!

I rang Yodel on 08447550117 to complain about their driver being dishonest. I got home to find my parcel just left on my doorstep, with a note saying it was left next door. I asked my neighbour if she’d taken it in for me, but she said no. When I looked at my CCTV, the driver simply walked down my drive and dropped the parcel on my doorstep without even trying to leave it with the neighbour. Now, Yodel has charged me £7.86 just for telling them about it, and they won’t take any action against the driver.

I called this number to ask why my parcel wasn’t put on the delivery van. After an 11 minute chat, I was told that they wouldn’t be delivering it on the day I expected and that I should just go about my business as usual. So I went out for lunch, only to later see the tracking showing the parcel coming up in 18 stops, then suddenly 9 stops, meaning I had to cut my meal short and rush back home. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I ended up with a £6.51 phone bill from the call.

These YODEL folks look like they’re running some kinda sneaky protection scam. Avoid calling them at all costs - report them to OFCOM, the local cops, and your MP. Have a look at what people are saying on Trustpilot about NB/yodel[###] - around 30% of the reviews only give 1 star, and probably would rate even worse if it was an option. Feels like their whole game is to purposely not deliver parcels and profit off all the expensive, worried phone calls they get.

My package got nicked after the yodel driver left it in some "safe spot" outside, right under a tree in the mud. I tried ringing the number on the card three times but couldn't get through, spent ages on hold only to finally speak to someone who was no help at all. They said they'd call me back, never did. Then I had to contact the company I ordered from, told them what happened, thankfully they sent me a replacement. Yodel dropped off my wine delivery at the wrong address and claimed they left it somewhere totally different than what I told them to if I wasn’t home (obviously I wasn’t there since it was the wrong place). I just noticed a £11.60 extra charge on my phone bill for tracking a Yodel parcel that they ended up leaving at the wrong place! Absolute joke, Yodel, get your act together - this isn’t on.

I was waiting for a parcel from Yodel and the tracking showed it got delivered to my house around 12:18pm last Saturday. Thing is, no one knocked or rang, and we were home all day. Tried calling their office but it shut by 1pm so had to wait till Monday. When I finally got through, they said it went to a neighbour, which is odd because we were in and the neighbour wasn’t either. After chasing it up more, they said it’s now lost in transit. To add insult to injury, I ended up spending £8.54 just on phone calls dealing with this mess. Proper rip off if you ask me.

Never got my package from yodel, so I phoned this number and ended up paying £12 for two calls. Surely there’s a way to report yodel because this seems like a total rip-off. Yodel are just thieves and scammers!

Utterly shocking - I got three texts from Yodel in just one day. The first said my wine was on its way, the second claimed it had been delivered, then a few hours later another saying it’d be with me by 9pm. I haven’t even ordered wine, so I worried someone might’ve used my info fraudulently. I rang their number twice, which cost me £11.25 in calls! To make it worse, I was kept waiting in a queue with “your call is important to us” playing, but nobody ever answered. Total scam and should definitely be reported for fraud.

Back on 06/07/2018 I called this number because the delivery note left at my door had the wrong info about my parcel. I had to find out where my package was, but the call ended up costing me £4.67 for just under 8 minutes. Honestly, don’t bother with this number, total rip off.

This number popped up because I was told my delivery was left in a “safe outbuilding” but I don’t have one. My neighbours helped me check around but no luck. Later Yodel called me back saying it was actually stashed in my gas meter box! Why on earth didn’t the driver mention that in the first place?

Just got an email from Yodel saying they tried to deliver a parcel but couldn’t, so I called them to let them know I’d been in all day and nobody came to the door. Rang three times but never got through to anyone, and then I noticed I was charged £1.68 on my O2 bill! The parcel arrived later that afternoon, and the driver said he hadn’t come earlier. Feels like a dodgy trick to make people call and they make money from the calls. Watch out for Yodel emails claiming a missed delivery!

I rang them on 29/6/18 and just 5 minutes ended up costing me more than £3.00, and honestly they weren't very helpful at all.

Yodel claimed they attempted to drop off a package but couldn't, then told me to ring them on 0844 755 0117. I was stuck on the line for about 15 minutes and in the end, they just said it was an error. To top it off, I got hit with a £7.51 charge on my phone bill. This lot needs reporting, feels like a total rip-off.

Honestly, I can’t recall ever ringing this number. But my phone bill says I did. They charged me 0.177p service fee and then 4.583 for over 10 minutes! Really baffling.

Yet another annoyed Yodel (non) receiver! Just a few pounds, but it’s all down to THEIR MESS-UP! No chance I’ll trust them with MY deliveries - Hermes work perfectly for me!

I rang Yodel using my phone (Vodafone) and ended up paying around £5, but a big chunk of that went straight to Vodafone thanks to their 55p per minute access fee. If you check the Call Costs bit at the end of the page, calls to 08447550117 only cost between 0p and 10p per minute for the service itself. So it seems like Yodel might not be the ones charging all that.

Totally ridiculous that this company charges people when they're the ones constantly phoning us. Yodel's customer service should honestly feel embarrassed and be held responsible for their calls and messages, not the poor person receiving them!

I called 08447550117 from my phone to sort out a yodel delivery for a lad with aspergers, and now I’ve seen my bill and it’s gone up by £4.70 plus VAT. Turns out they charge 55p a minute, but they never told me that when I was on the call. Honestly, it’s a shocker!
