I've been relentlessly hounded by calls from this number. Often enough, I leave my answerphone on, only to receive a jumbled message urging me to ring back. Foolishly, I obliged, only to discover that this call isn't part of my inclusive package. Frankly, I've got no ties to them, eBay, or anyone else they're keen to reach. The dilemma is that BT tends to recycle phone numbers when you change addresses, which left me stuck with a previous occupant's troublesome digits - a revelation I stumbled upon last year. Honestly, haven’t they heard of good old-fashioned mail, or even court officials for settling debts? Oh, and just so you know, they asked me if I knew someone named Joanna. What a complete numpty; clearly, they binge-watch too much telly!

I've just received a rather confrontational call from this number, with the individual on the other end pressuring me for my personal information. When I inquired about his name, he simply identified himself as ‘George’ but was adamant that he didn’t owe me any further details. I made it clear that I wasn't comfortable sharing any private info over the phone, especially with someone asserting they represent Transcom.com yet refusing to provide a full name. His intimidation tactics escalated, with him insisting that he wouldn’t be backing down and that I needed to grasp that fact! He went on to declare he was the only ‘George’ in the office, implying that should suffice for me. Could you please offer some guidance on how to handle this?
