I got a call from this number on my phone around 9.50 in the morning on Wednesday 8th Feb. As soon as I noticed it was an 0844 number, I decided not to answer, figured it was probably some sort of sales call. If it was important, they could have left a voicemail, but nope, nothing at all.

Today, I picked up a call from this number and they announced, "Congratulations, you've won a £500 high street gift voucher or a shiny new iPod. Press 2 to claim your prize, or 9 to decline, but be aware we’ll ring you back in a day." This isn't the first time I've encountered this; I had a similar call just yesterday. When I pressed 2, they simply terminated the call. I'm tempted to press 9 next time around to see what occurs.
