I received a notification on my phone saying I missed a call from 01163887007. Funny thing is, my phone was right there with me, and I didn’t hear it ring at all! Out of curiosity, I tried calling that number using another phone, and all I got was a monotonous recorded message telling me to dial 08446723322 over and over again. Got a call from someone calling herself Isabelle Warner, but I reckon she swaps names a lot. It was from 01163881551 about some accident I supposedly had. They just hang up if you start asking questions and won’t tell you much about themselves. I did catch the name Pearl Light Co. A and grabbed the postcode before they cut off again - LE16GD Albion Street. For sure these lot are trying to scam people. I’ve blocked them loads of times but they just ring from new numbers, all from Leicester. Told them to piss off and don’t fall for it!

I got a call from the number 01559 640720. Some bloke with a foreign accent told me there was an issue with my router and internet connection, asking if I knew about it. I told him my router was fine and maybe he should find an honest job rather than trying to trick people into handing over their bank info. I tried calling my GP from my landline at work but forgot to include the full area code, assuming I was in the same region as my surgery. IT’S A TOTAL SCAM. Got a call saying our 'BT' connection was about to be disconnected, so naturally we were concerned and dialled the number that rang us (01237 571874). They then told us to ring 08446723322. We didn’t do that and instead looked it up online where we found loads of warnings like this. So it’s clear this is just a trick to get you to call a premium rate number and then keep you waiting forever. DO NOT RING THIS NUMBER ELSE YOU WILL END UP LOSING CASH.

Just got a message at my nan's place saying I missed a call while I was out shopping. It was an 0161 number, but the message said the number had changed. I phoned the Dept for Work and Pensions Banbury on 01295 455057 and was then redirected to 08446723322, only to be stuck on hold. I waited for about 10 minutes before giving up. When I finally got through, I told them what happened, but the person I spoke to didn’t seem bothered at all. The call showed up as lasting 24 minutes and I ended up being charged £4.575 on my Sky bill. Sky really needs to do something to stop these kinds of scams.

Just a heads up about a phone scam! Someone rang us from 01902 264858 but hung up straight away. When I tried calling back on 01902 264868, it went to an answerphone saying to ring 08446723322. Be careful, calling that number will cost you. Watch out for this!
