The phone rang and we answered using the remote handset, but the base unit kept ringing away while the handset remained eerily quiet. Eventually, the ringing stopped altogether. However, we decided it was prudent to investigate SNT0870 first. So, here we find ourselves!

19. 2. I've finally managed to discover who these callers are. It appears they are Silverbeck Solicitors, a rather dubious lot known for chasing after easy compensation claims, supposedly acting on behalf of Swinton Insurance, though I'm rather sceptical about that! They've got several numbers they use, most of which have been flagged as nuisance callers on this site. It’s relentless - they ring me at least twice a day, and yes, even on a Sunday! The moment the answering machine kicks in, they hang up instantly. I've even tried picking up the phone and putting it on mute so they can chat away to themselves, but they just don’t seem to get the hint!
