Received a rather dubious phone call from a woman with an Indian accent, purporting to be from my former letting agency, insisting that I settle my rent despite the fact that I no longer reside at that property! What a complete scam!

Received several calls in one afternoon from this number, claiming to be from Countrywide Letting Services, and they were rather aggressive, insisting that I settle my rent immediately or face consequences for late payment. Naturally, I took the precaution of contacting Countrywide directly to verify my rent status, which thankfully is all in order. Clearly, this caller is a fraud. Interestingly, my boyfriend has also been targeted by this same number, with them pretending to be 'Three', the mobile network provider, trying to entice him into upgrading his plan-complete with requests for credit card information. Best advice? Just steer clear of any calls from this number and absolutely do not share any financial details or card information!

Received a call from someone purporting to be with Countrywide Leasing, inquiring about our rent. The thing is, we’ve severed ties with Countrywide and have settled all our dues. Quite peculiar, I must say!

I have a hunch-about a 70% hunch, mind you-that this isn't actually Dwayne Johnson's contact number. So, there I was, rudely awakened at an ungodly hour by a call from some bloke pushing a new men's fragrance called 'Flatulessence by Dwayne.' Naturally, I was seized with curiosity and asked what the scent was like. To my utter shock, I was met with the most thunderous and damp blast of flatulence I've ever had the misfortune to hear! Naturally puzzled, I queried whether this was some sort of prank, to which the caller-without missing a beat-let out another ear-splitting toot and asked, "Can't you smell that, mate?" In bafflement, I responded, "Smell what?" He then belligerently yelled, "WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING!" before bursting into laughter, letting out yet another eye-watering emission, and then abruptly hanging up. At this stage, I was thoroughly convinced that this person was not Dwayne Johnson. Enough is enough-this madness simply must come to an end!

I received a rather unusual call while I was busy at work. Out of nowhere, there was this strange noise that sounded like a trumpeting fart. The individual on the other end cheekily asked if I could detect an odd smell, to which I responded, “Not at all, why do you ask?” To my bewilderment, the caller let out another fart and followed it up with the rather bizarre inquiry: “Can you smell what the rock is cooking?” He then burst into laughter and disconnected. Quite frankly, I found it all rather unimpressive and juvenile.

Hello, I wanted to share my experience with Countrywide. Shortly after I partnered with them, they joined forces with Bairstow Eves and outsourced their payments to a firm based in India. This little Indian company ended up sharing our information with a dodgy associate of hers - a scam operation. It turns out that this scammer's mother's boyfriend has a sister in India who then claimed I was in arrears with my rent. They started calling me, saying they'd sorted things with my supposed "friend" who hinted at my overdue payments, and before I knew it, I was duped into making a payment! The 0166 number is indeed legitimate, but be warned: only make payments directly to Countrywide, and steer clear of this shady operation!

This morning turned out to be quite the ordeal! Between 10:06 and 11:31, I totally missed four calls while I was tied up in a training session, and my phone was on silent, of course. Once I finally had a moment to spare, I tried ringing back, but to my surprise, no one picked up. It rang a few times, then it was like the line sort of fizzled out or something-very odd!

Does anyone have an inkling who might be behind these calls? Is it a scam or something more sinister?

This number is affiliated with the county somehow. It's quite puzzling, but they always seem to lag when it comes to updating their payment records, which baffles me given the technological advancements we have today. If you're receiving calls on your mobile from them, I'd suggest getting yourself a call blocking app; I personally rely on Call Control on my Android phone. And to those self-satisfied individuals boasting about paying their rent several months in advance-let's be real, not everyone has the luxury to do so. It seems rather foolish to think putting huge sums of money into someone else's account is a wise move rather than investing it where it can actually benefit you.
