ARE YOU EVEN AWARE WHO YOU’RE CALLING? THIS TIME IT WAS AN OLDER LADY, AND SHE WAS REALLY SHOOK UP BY IT. PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE THE WORST, ALWAYS ON THE PHONE PUSHING PPI CLAIMS, SURVEY SITES, WINDOW COMPANIES, AND EVERY OTHER COLD CALLING SCAM.

Got a voicemail from some security firm claiming they’re linked with the police and have official government approval or something. Said they’re registered with 33 police departments and to press 1 if I want them to contact me. I just ignored it and didn’t press anything!

I’m on the TPS list, so I was surprised to get this automated call. The tone felt really alarming and could easily scare elderly or vulnerable folks, especially since it suggested police or emergency services might not come if you needed them.
