Something similar happened to me too. Got a missed call from +44 7462 020376, then a silent voicemail, and later a text with that exact reference number mentioned here. It's definitely a scam trying to trick you into calling an 0844 number, where they keep you waiting on hold while charging you premium rates the whole time.

Got a missed call at 12:15 today from 08445718148 with a message saying "IMPORTANT: We've been trying to reach you. Please call us back today. Quote reference 331782." The voicemail said it was from M & S. I called back three times but just ended up stuck on hold for ages. Surely, no one can have the exact same reference number, this has "scam" written all over it... I’m done trying now.

Got the exact same message from that number again just now.

I got a message saying it was urgent and that I had to ring them right away.

I got a message from 07462007078 saying they tried to get in touch and it’s urgent I speak to them today. They asked me to ring 08445718148 and mention a reference number. Since I don’t recognise either of these numbers and haven’t had any contact with them before, I’m not planning on calling back.

Just like loads of others have said, I got a message today (28/9/13) at about 12.37 which said:

"IMPORTANT! We've been trying to reach you. It's vital you get in touch today. Please phone 08445718148 and mention your ref: 331782. Thanks."

Pretty clear this is a scam, no doubt about it.

Seemed dodgy so I blocked the caller. The message was sent from 07462038546, which I reckon should be flagged as well.
