I've been receiving calls from this number repeatedly on my mobile. Whenever I answer, either there's silence or nothing to be heard on the other end. It feels like a bit of a scam, trying to lure us into calling back. It's quite frustrating, especially since I work abroad and they're ringing us at all hours, even the small hours of the night! Such a nuisance!

We've recently discovered that the number belongs to Alliance & Leicester, and it’s an automated message that goes something like, "Alliance & Leicester attempted to reach you earlier today, but it appears there's no need for any further steps regarding this call." Quite baffling, isn’t it? What on earth are they on about?
