When we asked for a callback number, they provided one but mentioned it’s often busy. They even suggested we could get the direct line for a manager as an alternative. Still, she insisted on getting those personal details from us. At that stage, we decided to cut the conversation short.

I asked for a callback number, which they provided, claiming that their lines are often busy but we could also obtain the direct numbers for the management team. Still, the woman insisted on getting more specific information from us. At this stage, we are reaching out via phone.

I received a call from a company masquerading as LifeLine insurance. They kicked off the conversation by claiming they could lower the charges on a phone insurance policy I had recently taken out, provided I settled the payment in advance. It struck me as quite suspicious, as they only seemed to possess my phone number and absolutely no personal information.

I received a call just now, apparently from O2 once more. They were claiming they could reduce our phone insurance costs. Strangely, they didn’t even seem to know the specific model of our phone. They identified themselves as someone named Kristy (extension 0212).

Claiming to be O2, they’ve touted some kind of fantastic tariff adjustment to help us through this credit crunch. However, it’s plainly obvious that they’re not O2. We’ve verified twice with O2 and found out that we’re on an entirely separate tariff. It’s safe to say these chaps are definitely not one of O2’s representatives!

It’s quite a laugh when they shout about O2 rolling out tariff changes that supposedly tackle the credit crunch, isn’t it? Honestly, it’s not O2 at all. Those folks claimed they’re operating on a unique pricing structure. I’ve checked and double-checked with O2 - this isn’t something one of their representatives would say.

Absolutely. We received a call earlier today from someone masquerading as O2, claiming they had a fantastic deal that would knock a fiver off our bill due to the credit crunch. The moment they started speaking, my instinctively felt something was amiss; mainly because they didn't even address us by our names. As soon as we pressed them on this, they resorted to some garbled excuse about the "data protection act," which was utter rubbish. We've confirmed with O2 directly that this lot are definitely not affiliated with them and that they've never attempted to reach out to us with such offers.
